We manufacture a variety of upper limb prostheses, including Trans-Radial (below elbow) and Trans-Humeral (above elbow). Each prosthesis is custom made based on a plaster cast mold, and with the goals of the client in mind.
The human hand performs many distinct and complex actions on a daily basis, often crucial for independent living, including basic activities such as dressing, grooming, and eating, as well as work-related activities. The purpose of a function-oriented upper limb prostheses is to assist the client in gaining as much independence as possible with regards to the actions usually performed by the hands.
Conventional upper extremity prostheses operate with a cable system, and a hook is used for functionality, or a cosmetic sleeve can be added. Each prosthesis we manufacture is based on our client’s individual needs, and therefore the selection of the control system, socket and terminal device vary greatly.
Our prosthetists also have experience creating attachments specific to leisure and sport activities.
